It all started in 1985 when Harry & Donalda Storey started Meadow View Percherons. They started with 2 registered mares
Storeyvale Miss Dixie and Storeyvale Miss Donna. Now 23 years later their herd has grown to 8 registered mares, 2 registered
geldings and 1 registered stallion. They have Storeyvale Barney standing at stud on their farm.
Their farm is located in Berwick which is about 4 km outside of Sussex towards Fredericton. Harry & Donalda had two
children which are carrying on the Percheron breeding.
Down Home Percherons was started by Tommy & Heather Storey in 1998. Their farm is located in Roachville, just on the
outskirts of Sussex. Their herd consists of 3 registered mares and 2 registered geldings which reside at the Meadow View farm.
At their home they have 4 draft ponies which Tommy does a lot of the farm work with. Tommy & Heather have 2 children,
Brooke & Colton, who show great interest in the horses.
Black Spruce Percherons was started by me, Holly Storey in 2003. I now have 4 registered mares. They too also reside at
the Meadow View farm.
With all the horses there, we do some farm work with them like haying in the summer, spreading manure and sleigh rides etc
in the winter. Other things we do with them are attend local fairs and exhibitions, parades, special events like weddings and
graduations. Around the farm we usually have at least a couple of foals in the spring.
